Clay Sculpture for Function
From binoculars to planters to bells to plates and bowls we will explore 3 dimensional design in a functional clay context. All classes at ANALEMA are intimate with a maximum of 5 children. All clay classes include clays, glazes and firings.
Drawing: Learning to Calculate what We See
We will explore how we calculate what we see with shapes and how calculating with shapes helps us create beautiful designs and drawings. Like all drawing we will hone visual perception and build spatial skills as we create original interpretations. Working with geometry and simple shape algebras students will learn to think algorithmically. Materials such as graphite, temperas, charcoal, and inks, members of this course will develop critical-thinking skills and learn about composition and design.
Maximum 5 students per class. Each class is 12 weeks in length.
